Heliguy delivering BVLOS drone training to Network Rail

Heliguy delivering BVLOS drone training to Network Rail?

heliguy™ has started the delivery of BVLOS developmental training to Network Rail, helping the organisation work towards remote and automated operations with the Dock ecosystem.

We welcomed Network Rail representatives Ken Durling and Liam Barrington at heliguy™ HQ this week (June 24 and 25, 2025) for the collaborative training, which is a pivotal step in helping Network Rail leverage drone-in-a-box tech for inspection and asset management across its infrastructure. The bespoke programme, led by our Dock technicians and regulatory specialists, is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of running a safe and efficient BVLOS drone programme, including technical (installation, system management, maintenance) and operational (flight planning, safety protocols, RTH strategies, and airspace integration) training.

It also covers standard operating procedures and how to conduct missions from Remote Operations Control Centres (ROCCs) — enabling safer, smarter, and more scalable drone deployments.

As the rail industry moves toward smarter asset management, we're proud to help Network Rail in its ambitions to leverage BVLOS drone operations.
